Statement
The Spina Bifida &
Hydrocephalus Association of SA Inc strives to
provide caring, innovative and
responsible services to people with
Spina Bifida &/or Hydrocephalus and related
disabilities:-
- Through increased
family & consumer involvement in order to maximise
opportunities for all existing and future
people with spina bifida &/or
hydrocephalus in SA; by establishing support networks
for members and their families, educating the general
public and taking positive steps to improve the quality
of life of all people eligible for services provided by
this Association
- With professional staff who are
proactive, caring, supportive, flexible who want to make
a difference and who have relevant experiences and
qualifications to provide unique services tailored to
changing need using best practice and resources and
complimented by the active involvement of members
- Through the development of
partnerships with like organisations to increase
opportunities of access to relevant services, as well as
increasing the sphere of influence and recognition of
the Association
- By adopting a business approach;
develop sustainable income streams to ensure the ongoing
financial viability of the Association to meet the
future needs of members
Privacy
Policy
The Spina Bifida &
Hydrocephalus Association values the privacy of
its members and supporters.
We only collect the personal
information that you may volunteer in order to provide the
best quality
services and information. We do not collect information about
you from other sources, such as public
records, government bodies or private organisations.
We
may collect and use personal data for the
additional purpose of fundraising.
All our employees and volunteers, who
may need access
associated with the processing of your personal information,
are obliged to respect the confidentiality of this
information and they are legally bound by our Human
Resources Policies and Procedures.
We ensure that your
personal information will not be disclosed to State
institutions and authorities except if required
by law or other regulation.
Our privacy policy is in
accordance with the National Privacy
Principles. There are no global or regional
regulatory or self-regulatory schemes applicable
to our organisation. In order to demonstrate
that our privacy policy accords with the above
privacy guidelines, we are voluntarily committed
to a Self Assessment procedure and subject to a
Government Agency supervision.
Any individual has the right to
request a copy of their information held by the
Association as required by the National Privacy Principles.
