Welcome to the Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association of South Australia Who We Are The Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of SA Inc (SBHA) is a charitable organisation that was formed in 1965 by a group of parents of children born with spina bifida. Over the years we have developed a wide range of services aimed at improving and preserving the quality of life of children and adults with spina bifida and their families. This site contains a lot of basic and general information about the condition of spina bifida and the often related condition of hydrocephalus. This information is only for general knowledge and must not be used for self-diagnosis. While we have endeavoured to make our information as accurate as possible, new developments and research often mean we can fall behind.
